Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed the current situation in Bangladesh with US President Joe Biden in a bilateral meeting in USA.
The current situation in Bangladesh has come up in the discussion of this year's conference of the US security alliance Quad in the Indo-Pacific region.
After the meeting, India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri revealed the matter in a press conference.
The meeting took place at Biden's personal residence in Wilmington, Delaware on Saturday (21 September).
In the press conference, Vikram Misri stated that the two leaders had discussed the Bangladesh situation during their phone conversation last month as well.
Misri said these discussions cover subjects that are in the region. They may be of bilateral interest to one party or the other, but they do have significance beyond the region as well. In this context, a number of situations came up for discussion. Bangladesh also figured in the discussions and there was an exchange of views with regard to the situation there.
