Low pressure in Bay: Heatwave likely to abate

A low-pressure area has formed over West-central Bay and adjoining area. So, the mild to moderate heatwave currently affecting parts of the country is likely to subside in some areas.

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) in an update said light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions and at many places Rangpur division with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country.

Outlook for next 05 (five) days: Rainfall activity is likely to increase, said the notification.
