CA to meet UN Secretary General on Thursday

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus will have a meeting with the United Nations (UN) Secretary General António Guterres on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly (UNGA).

The meeting will be held at the UN secretariate at 2:15 pm on Thursday (New York time).

The chief adviser will also have a bilateral meeting with US President Joseph R Biden on Tuesday (September 24). Besides, Prof Yunus will hold bilateral talks with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, President of the World Bank Group Ajay Banga, IMF Director Kristalina Georgieva, and others.

Earlier, the chief advisor arrived USA on Monday to attend the UNGA 79th session as a commercial flight of Qatar Airways carrying him and his entourage members landed at the JKF International Airport, New York, at 10:10 pm (NY time).

He is scheduled to deliver his speech at the UNGA session at 10 am (NY time) on September 27.
