Bangladesh will have US support for free and fair election

Praising the interim government head Dr Yunus, the United States said that Bangladesh will be given all kinds of support. The US will support reforms and fair elections.

Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met with Chief Advisor of the Interim Government of Bangladesh Muhammad Yunus, in New York on the sidelines of the United National General Assembly on Thursday. Meanwhile, he assured the all-out cooperation of the United States to Bangladesh.

It is known that the meeting was held yesterday morning (local time) at the designated meeting place of the United Nations headquarters. In the half an hour-long meeting, the cooperation from the United States is sought in the reform process of Bangladesh.

According to the verified page of the Chief Adviser, during the meeting, Blinken expressed full support for the interim government as they discussed economic cooperation, the Rohingya crisis, counterterrorism, labour issues, and the recovery of laundered money.
