3 family members burnt in fire from gas line leakage

Three members of a family, including a child, sustained burn injuries in a fire caused from gas line leakage at their house at Sukrabad in the capital early Saturday (September 28).

Those who sustained burn injuries are Mohammad Toton, 35, his wife Nipa Akter, 30, and their three-year-old son Md Bayejid. They are currently undergoing treatment at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

Confirming the matter, resident doctor of the hospital Md Tarikul Islam said, “Toton was admitted with 50 per cent of burns, Nipa with 32 per cent and Bayezid was 45 per cent of burns. They are in critical state.”
