“WB, IFC to support for reforms in Bangladesh financial sector”

Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed said that the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) has assured us to provide support for reforms in the finance sector.

The adviser said this while addressing reporters after a meeting with representatives in the ministry of finance at secretariat on Sunday (September 29).

He said we have a successful discussion with representatives of World Bank and IFC. We discussed what the World Bank would do to help. Discussion was held with them on reforming our economic sector and the National Board of Revenue.

Dr Salehuddin said talks with them were held on possible support in various sectors. Discussion was also held on the issues of broad economic objectives and policy perspectives.
