Job seekers took a position in front of the office and residence of the chief advisor of the interim government, demanding the age limit for government jobs 35 years.
Job seekers brought out a procession at around 1:00pm on Monday and took a position in front of Jamuna.
Police fired tear gas to disperse the job seekers.
Mamun Rashid Ratan, a job seeker, said we would continue our movement until our demand is met.
Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Operations) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Md Israil Howlader said, “There is already a ban on gatherings in front of the chief adviser's residence. But the protesters defied the police ban. We will not allow them to stay there”.
DMP on August 25 issued a notice banning any rallies, meetings, or demonstrations in front of the Bangladesh Secretariat and government residence of the chief adviser until further notice.
