Committee formed over fuel tanker fire

 A seven-member committee has been formed over the fire incident in a tanker anchored at a jetty in Chattogram port.

An official order signed by BPC Secretary ATM Selim was issued on Monday.  

Fire Service personnel has recovered two bodies from the tanker. 

The fire broke out around 11:00am on Monday, following an explosion on the tanker, named MT Banglar Jyoti, which was anchored at Dolphin Oil Jetty in front of Eastern Refinery in Patenga area for unloading fuel oil.

The tanker had transported oil from a larger tanker anchored offshore to the jetty for Eastern Refinery.
