Bank accounts of S Alam, 5 others frozen

Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit has finally frozen the bank accounts of S Alam Group chairman Saiful Alam and 5 of his associates, amid allegations of corruption, asset accumulation, and money laundering against him.

BIFU issued a notification in this regard on Monday (September 30).

The names of the frozen bank accounts are – Saiful Alam (S Alam), Mohammad Abdullah Hasan, Osman Goni, Abdus Samad, Shahana Ferdous, Badrun Nesa Alam.

According to the instructions of BFIU, the bank accounts of these persons will be suspended. For the next 30 days, no transactions can be made on these accounts. If necessary, this period of suspending the transaction will be extended.
