No polythene bags in super shops from today

Steps were taken to stop the use of polythene bags at shopping mall or super shops from today (October 1).

Environment, Forest and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan will start to visit super shops to inspect the polythene bag ban program.

The adviser is scheduled to visit Meena Bazar Super shop at Dhanmandi 27 in Zigatola bus stand area today.

She said that the use of polythene shopping bags should be stopped to protect future generations. Drive against polythene producers will be started from November 1.
