A Dhaka court placed Md Jahangir Alam, former senior secretary of the Public Security Division under the Home Ministry, on a five-day remand for interrogation in a case filed over the death of 14-year-old Abdul Motaleb in the capital’s Dhanmondi during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement on August 4.
