Raising age limit for govt job is logic: Abdul Muyeed 

Public Administration Reforms Commission Chief Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury has said he saw justification for increasing age of entry into the civil service.

He said this after a meeting with the job seekers of 35-year age at Bangladesh Secretariat on Wednesday.

“There is no doubt about the justification of increasing age-limit for entry into the government job,” he said.
Muyeed Chowdhury said the committee constituted by the government has only one focus as a movement on the issue is going on for a long time.

“The committee will take decision considering the existing policies, future working plan and overall situation,” he said.

Replying to a question about the justification of increasing entry age into the government job, he said many aspirants faced problems due to the COVID-19 and the session jam.

So, age limit for entry into the present government service should be increased, he observed.
