Vessel operations from Dhaka on 6 routes halted

The Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) has suspended vessel movement in the six destinations of the coastal areas from Dhaka due to inclement weather.

The information was confirmed in a press release issued from the BIWTA on Thursday (October 3).

All vessels operating on routes from Dhaka to Hatia, Betua, Khepupara, Charmontaj, Rangabali, and Monpura were halted until further notice considering the passengers’ safety, the release said.
