Floods cause Tk 14421cr losses in south-eastern part: CPD

Center for Policy Dialogue (CPD) said that recent floods in the south-eastern part of the country have caused a damage of Tk 14,421 crore.
According to the CPD, the losses in the regions of Cumilla, Feni, Noakhali and Laxmipur account for 0.26 percent of the GDP.
CPD executive director Fahmida Khatun disclosed this information at a press conference organized on the damage and rehabilitation process in the south-eastern districts including Cumilla, Feni, Noakhali and Laxmipur at CPD’s office in the capital’s Dhanmondi on Sunday (October 6).
