Bangladesh receives over USD 42cr remittance in 5 days

Expatriate Bangladeshis sent around USD 42.47crore remittances in the first five days of October in the fiscal year 2024-25.

The updated information of the central bank confirmed the matter on Sunday (October 6).

Of this, remittances through state-owned and specialised banks accounted for USD 10.80crore, while private banks received USD 30.2crore, according to Bangladesh Bank data.

Earlier, the country received USD191.37 crore in remittances in July month in 2024-25 financial year.
