Munni Saha’s bank account frozen

Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has asked banks to provide account details of television host and journalist Munni Saha.

Wishing anonymity, an official of BFIU confirmed the matter on Sunday (October 6).

BFIU sent letter seeking information on Munni Saha's deposits, loans, credit cards, foreign trade, money exchange, lockers and offshore banking.

It is known that recently Munni Saha resigned from ATN News. She took this decision due to a dispute with the television owner. Later, she said that she had no option but to resign.

Munni Saha started her journalism career with Daily Ajker Kagoj in 1991. She also worked as a special correspondent of Ekushey Television. Later, she joined ATN Bangla.
