Controversial Facebook post: Tapashee Tabassum dismissed

Lamonirhat’s Executive Magistrate Tapashee Tabassum Urmi, has been suspended for her controversial Facebook post about the Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus.

Public Administration Ministry's Public Relation Officer Md Mansur Hossain confirmed the matter on Monday (October 7).

He said that assistant commissioner Tapashee Tabassum Urmi has been suspended after being OSD. At the same time, the process of taking departmental action against her, has started.

Earlier on Sunday, she was made an officer on special duty (OSD) to the Ministry of Public Administration.

Tapashee had made a Facebook post about Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus, sparking a huge criticism.
