Nurses have resumed work abstention again from Tuesday (October 8) to press home their one-point demand for the appointment of experienced nurses by withdrawing all cadres from the Department of Nursing and Midwifery.
They announced a two-day programme at a press conference organized under the banner of Nursing and Midwifery Reform Council at Chattogram Nursing College auditorium on Monday (October 8).
Nurses and midwives will observe this work abstention in all government hospitals of the country from 9 am to 1 pm on Tuesday and from 9 am to 2 pm Wednesday.
However, emergency department, dialysis, emergency surgery, ICU, PICU, NICU will remain out of the purview of the programme.
Nurses have been observing a programme since September 9 to demand the appointment of qualified and experienced nurses as Director General, Director and Council President and Registrar of the Department of Nursing and Midwifery.
