Govt unsure about Hasina`s whereabouts, says Adviser

Social media reported that former prime minister Sheikh Hasina left for Dubai from India. However, Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain said that the government has not been able to confirm the whereabouts of her.

The adviser said this while addressing reporters at foreign ministry on Tuesday noon (October 8).

He said "We are not sure about her location. We have also checked with Delhi. No one has been able to confirm. As you have seen in the media, we have also observed reports that she may have gone to Ajman in the UAE. However, we have not been able to confirm it."

In reply to a question, he said that there is no reason to issue travel passes to politicians staying in India.
