1000 Bangladeshis want to return from Lebanon

Around 1,000 Bangladeshi migrant workers living in Lebanon expressed their desire to return home following escalation of violence in the region.

The government is working closely with all stakeholders to ensure the safe return of these expatriates.

Foreign ministry issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday (October 9).

As part of the response, Foreign Secretary Md Jashim Uddin has instructed Bangladesh’s ambassador to Lebanon to ensure the safe return of the Bangladeshi nationals. Additionally, measures are being taken to safeguard the welfare of those, who opt to stay in Lebanon.
