Journalist hacked dead in Mymensingh

A local journalist named Shapan Bhadra, 55, has been hacked dead in Mymensingh.
The incident took place at around 11:30am in Majhipara area of Shambhugnaj.
The victim Swapan Bhadra, 55, was the son of Jagesh Chandra Bhadra. He was a former vice president of the Tarakanda Press Club. He was actively involved with a local newspaper.
Md Saiful Islam, inspector of Kotwali Model Police Station, confirmed the matter.
According to sources, miscreants attacked Swapan with a knife, leaving him critically injured. Locals took him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
