5 arrestees are former security forces members

Law enforcers have arrested 11 people in connection with the robbery incident in the capital’s Mohammadpur area. Among them, five persons were former members of law enforcing agencies who were sacked in various reasons.

A gold made bracelet and a ring were also recovered from their possession.

Lt. Col. Munim Ferdous, director of legal and media wing of RAB, confirmed the matter on Sunday (October 13).

They allegedly robbed Tk 75 lakh and 70 bhoris of gold ornaments. 

The incident occurred on the second floor of a five-storey building named ‘Abu Company Building’ near the Tin Rasta intersection early Sunday.
