Age limit for govt job entry: 35 for men, 37 for women proposed

The recommendation committee formed in this regard has proposed raising the age limit for entry into government jobs to 35 for men and 37 for women.

Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury, head of the Public Administration Reform Commission, shared the information with journalists at the Secretariat on Monday (October 14).

Muyeed said the body had recommended raising the age limit for entry into government jobs to 35 for men and 37 for women.

He also mentioned that the committee had not made any recommendations regarding retirement age.

It is to be noted that students have been holding a movement for a long time to raise the age limit for entry into government service to 35 years. Following the recent student movement, the interim government formed the five-member committee on September 30 under the leadership of former caretaker government adviser Abdul Mueed Chowdhury.
