Reshuffle in army, new DGFI chief 

Two major generals have been promoted to lieutenant generals.

Major General Mohammad Jahangir Alam has been appointed as the director general (DG) of Directorate General of Defense Intelligence (DGFI).

Faizur Rahman has been promoted to lieutenant general and has been given the charge of Quarter Master General (QMG) of Army Headquarters.

The Army Headquarters made the decision on Monday (October 14).

He was serving as GOC of the 33 Infantry Division in Cumilla.

On the other hand, 24 Infantry Division (Chittagong Cantonment) GOC Major General Mainur Rahman has been promoted as lieutenant general and appointed as the GOC of the Army Training and Doctrine Command (ARTDOC).
