145,911 students secure GPA-5, girls outshine boys

Female students have outperformed males in terms of both pass rates and GPA-5 scores in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations.

According to the summary of the results provided on Tuesday (October 15) morning, the pass rate for female students is slightly higher at 79.95 per cent, while male students have a pass rate of 75.61 per cent.

In terms of GPA-5 achievers, 145,911 students earned the top grade, with girls significantly ahead—80,933 girls achieved GPA-5 compared to 64,978 boys, a difference of 15,955 in favour of female students.

This year’s overall pass rate across nine general education boards as well as the madrasa and technical education boards, stands at 77.78%.
