Garment workers to get pension: Labour and Employment Adviser

Labour and Employment Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan said I have a dream to introduce a pension scheme for the hardworking garment workers who contribute the most to the country's exports.
The adviser said this while inaugurating the TCB sales program at Tongi in Gazipur on Wednesday (October 16).
He said the working people should be the first beneficiaries of the freedom achieved through shedding blood.
Mentioning several challenges, he said the government successfully provided proper support to the flood victims in the recent flood situation in the country. Currently the habilitation of the victims is underway. The government is working to fulfill the fair demand of all.
Labour and Employment ministry secretary AHM Shafiquzzaman, commerce ministry secretary Selim Uddin, Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) Chairman Brigadier General Md Mostafa Iqbal, BGMEA President Khandakar Rafiqul Islam and others attended the program.
