Arrest warrant issued against Sheikh Hasina

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has issued an arrest warrant for former Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina over mass killings during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement in July and August.

A bench led by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Majumdar, chairman of the International Crimes Tribunal, passed the order on Thursday (October 17).

She has been asked to appear before the tribunal by November 18.

Advocate Tajul Islam, the chief prosecutor of the tribunal, confirmed the information.
