Matia Chowdhury`s first namaz-e-janaza held

The first namaz-e-janaza of Awami League presidium member and former minister Matia Chowdhury was held in the capital on Thursday (October 17).
The prayer took place at 10:00 am in front of her residence at the Ramna Apartment Complex.
Masudul Islam Chowdhury, brother of Matia Chowdhury said she will be buried at Mirpur Buddhijibi graveyard after another Namaz-e-Janaza at Gulshan Azad masjid.
The politician breathed her last around 12:30 pm on Wednesday (October 12) while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka.
Born on June 30, 1942 in Nazirpur upazila of Pirojpur, Matia Chowdhury graduated from the University of Dhaka.
