5-day holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr, 6-day for Eid-ul-Adha, 2-day for Durga Puja

The interim government's advisory council approved the list of public holidays for the next year (2025).

According to the government decision, the Eid-ul-Fitr will be a five-day holiday, Eid-ul-Adha will be a six-day holiday while Durga Puja holiday has been extended to two days.

The decision was taken in an advisory council meeting presided over by the Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus at CA’s office in Tejgaon on Thursday (October 17).

Two of the Eid days will be designated as official public holidays, while the remaining days before and after Eid will be declared holidays. The general holiday for Durga Puja will be on Bijoya Dashami, and there will also be a holiday on Nabami day through an executive order.
