Next election realistically possible by 2025: Law Adviser

Law Adviser Asif Nazrul opined that the next national election can be held by the next year 2025.

The law adviser made remarks when Daily Manabzamin Chief Editor Matiur Rahman Chowdhury wanted to know about the election timing during a programme titled "Ajker Patrika" hosted by Channel I late Thursday night.

This is the first time an adviser has spoken directly on the issue since Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman hinted at the timing of the election.

In the discussion program, Asif Nazrul said that the Digital Security Act will be cancelled.

Mentioning the extradition treaty on former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina issue, he said Hasina should be returned to Bangladesh if India obeys the treaty.
