Two officials of PBS remanded in sedition case 

A Dhaka court has granted a two-day remand for two officials of Palli Bidyut Samity (PBS) under the Rural Electrification Board (REB) in a sedition case filed with Khilkhet Police Station of the capital for destabilizing the power sector.

After the hearing, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Akhtaruzzaman granted the remand plea on Saturday (October 19). 

The accused are Deputy General Manager of Lukhsmipur Palli Bidyut Samity (PBS) Mohammad Ariful Islam, 48, and Assistant General Manager of Brahmanbaria Palli Bidyut Samity SK Shakil Ahmed, 31.

Earlier, the investigation officer sought 10 days remand each.
