Shariar Kabir placed on two-day remand in murder case

A Dhaka court has placed Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee advisory council chairman Shahriar Kabir on a two-day remand in the Rafiqul Islam murder case filed with the Jatrabari police station.

Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ali Haider passed the order after granting a remand plea from the investigation officer of the case inspector Mahabul Islam.

On July 18, Rafiqul Islam was injured in firing during an agitation spontaneously participated by students and general people in Jatrabari area. 

He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to her injuries later.

Shahriar Kabir was arrested from Mohakhali area on September 17 by DB Police.
