Foreign Ministry did not get direction to bring back Hasina

The Foreign Ministry did not get any direction to bring back former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to the country.

Director General of Public Diplomacy Wing of the ministry Toufique Hasan said this while talking to journalists on Sunday.

Earlier, Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma met Foreign Secretary Md Jashim Uddin to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations in various sectors.

The meeting, held at the foreign ministry, focused on advancing mutual cooperation in line with the shared aspirations of both Bangladesh and India for peace, security, and development. No discussion was held on the issue of Sheikh Hasina, he said.
