ZI Khan Panna secures anticipatory bail

Supreme Court senior lawyer ZI Khan Panna has secured an anticipatory bail from the High Court in a case filed over an allegation of attempted murder.

A High Court (HC) bench of Justice AKM Asaduzaman passed the order on Monday (October 21).

ZI Khan Panna will remain on bail until the filing of the probe report in the case filed.

After getting the bail, he said, “I got the bail, but mouth and conscience will not be closed.”

The case was filed against 180 people, including ZI Khan on allegation of injuring a youth, Ahadul Islam, during the anti-discrimination student movement on July 19.
