Chief Justice holds close-door meeting with two advisers

Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed held a close-door meeting with Law Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul and Information Adviser Md Nahid Islam on Tuesday afternoon.

The meeting continued about 40 minutes at the Chief Justice’s office, said sources in the Supreme Court.

The meeting was held amid the demand of the resignation of President Mohammed Shahabuddin.

On Tuesday, protesters first gathered at Shahbagh in the afternoon and marched towards Bangabhaban, the residence of the President.

Protesters want the President to go as he made contradictory statements over Hasina's resignation at different times.
