HC revokes 4 extortion cases against Tarique Rahman

The High Court (HC) has scrapped four extortion cases filed against BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman with Kafrul Police Station in the capital 17 years ago.

A High Court division bench comprising Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Syed Enayet Hossain passed the order on Wednesday (October 23), declaring absolute a rule issued earlier by the court in this regard.

Senior jurist Barrister AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon and Barrister Kaiser Kamal moved for the BNP leader during the hearing in the court.
