Rational decision will come through discussions: Nahid

Information and Broadcasting Adviser Nahid Islam has said there is no need to stage demonstrations in front of Bangabhaban and elsewhere. We have got the message of the people and we expect a decision will come through discussions.

The adviser said this while talking to journalists at the Secretariat on Wednesday (October 23).

The interim government has started talks with political parties and all stakeholders on the demand of removing President Mohammed Shahabuddin, urging people to avoid staging demonstrations. A decision may be forthcoming after discussion in this regard, he said.

Nahid urged people to also stay alert against the creation of chaos over the issue, and avoid demonstrations in front of Bangabhaban – the president’s official residence, the adviser said.
