5-day remand sought for ex-state minister Zakir

Police today sought five-day remand for Former State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Zakir Hossain in a case filed over killing an electrician named Shamim Hawlader.

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nazmin Akter passed the order on Friday (October 25).

Earlier, the Investigation Officer (IO) of the case, Sub-Inspector Razu Ahmed filed the remand petition.

Zakir Hossain was arrested by Mohammadpur police in the capital on Thursday evening.
