Ex-State Minister Zakir put on 3-day remand 

Former State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Zakir Hossain has been put on a three-day remand in a case filed over killing an electrician named Shamim Hawlader.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nazmin Akter passed the remand plea on Friday (October 25). 

Earlier, the Investigation Officer (IO) of the case, Sub-Inspector Razu Ahmed sought a five-day remand for him.

Zakir Hossain was arrested by Mohammadpur police in the capital on Thursday evening.
