Ex-EC Secretary Helaluddin on 4-day remand

Former Election Commission (EC) Secretary Helaluddin Ahmed has been put on a four-day remand in the BNP activist Mokbul Hossain murder case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nazmin Akter passed the remand plea on Friday (October 25).

Earlier, the Investigation Officer (IO) of the case, Sub-Inspector of Paltan Model Thana Nazmul Hasan sought a 10-day remand for him.

Police arrested him on Wednesday in Tulatali area under Khulshi Thana in the port city of Chattogram.
