IWPG Global Region 3 signs MOA with SheEqual

International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG) Global Region 3 (Heo Eun-ju Regional Director) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to achieve peace with ‘SheEqual’ online on October 20th.

Through this MOA, the two organizations agreed to cooperate with each other to share information with IWPG, support peace education, and urge DPCW peace activities, along with building a partnership to support peace resolution activities.

Founded in 2019, SheEqual has spread activities to promote women's and girls' rights and improve gender stereotypes in Bangladesh through various development activities such as storytelling, research, volunteering, raising awareness, campaign design, training and workshops for youth and community people, as well as laws related to women's rights, notable rulings, and success stories in the community along with digital online spaces.

Heo Eun-ju, Regional Director of IWPG Global Region 3, said, "Through the MOA, I hope that IWPG and SheEqual become one and cooperate together to realize practical peace with this partnership.” “We are truly honored to be holding the MOA signing ceremony with IWPG, and today we will use it as an opportunity to launch formal cooperation to implement our joint commitment to peace, justice and strengthening our global authority," said Tamima Nasrin, the president of the SheEqual.

Meanwhile, IWPG stands for “International Women’s Peace Group,” an NGO registered both in the UN DCG and UN ECOSOC and is working actively for various peace activities such as global women peace network building, spreading peace culture, and uniting with UN women organizations to urge for the legislation of the DPCW.
