Hasnat, Sarjis file writ seeking ban on Awami League

A writ petition was filed with the High Court seeking its direction to announce ban on Awami League as a political party.

Coordinators of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Hasnat Abdullah and Sarjis Alam filed the writ petition on Monday (October 28) seeking a ban on all activities of Awami League as a political party.

Hearing on the writ is likely to be held in the HC bench of Justice Fatema Najib and Justice Sikder Mahmudur Razi.

Senior lawyer Ahsanul Karim confirmed the filing of the writ.
