2 BCL leaders arrested over killing Yeasin murder

Police on Saturday arrested two leaders of the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), from the city's Bangshal Thana area, on charge of killing a pickup van driver Yeasin Ahmed Raj during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.

The arrestees are Md Tanvir, 24, and Al Amin Rafi, 26.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Talebur Rahman of the DMP's Media and Public Relations Department confirmed the matter on Monday (October 28).

He said a drive was conducted in Bangladesh Field area of Aga Sadek Road of Bangshal Police Station around 1 am and arrested them.

Earlier, Sahida Begum, the mother of the victim filed a murder case with Bangshal police station on September 25.
