‘Vested quarter is providing provocation in Ansar forces’

Director General (DG) of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud said that currently there is an attempt to mislead some members of the VDP forces through misinformation. A vested quarter is providing provocation in Ansar forces.

The DG said this while addressing reporters at the headquarters of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party at Khilgaon in the capital on Monday (October 28).

Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud said that some vested quarters are instigating provocation over the pattern of recruitment, core functions and legal rights of the force. All volunteer members are requested to act in accordance with lawful principles and to maintain the discipline of the force.

Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force (VDP) have been continuously contributing to socio-economic development as the largest voluntary force in the country, he said.
