Burning 46 bodies at Ashulia: Shahidul Islam sent to jail

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) sent former police officer Shahidul Islam in a case filed over burning the dead bodies after killing 46 people during the Anti-Discrimination Movement at Ashulia in Dhaka.
The three-judge ICT panel, led by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder passed the order on Thursday (October 31).
Chief prosecutor Md Tajul Islam move for the tribunal prosecution.
Earlier, he was taken to Shahbagh police station after arresting him on Wednesday night.
On October 27, the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) issued arrest warrant against 17 police officers including former DMP commissioner Habibur Rahman Habib.
