10-day remand sought for Obaidul Muktadir

Police have sought a 10-day remand for Former housing and public works minister RAM Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury in a case filed over the murder of a BNP activist.
Paltan Model police station Sub-Inspector Nazmul Hasan filed the remand plea. The hearing will be held at Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate on Friday (November 1).
Earlier, he was arrested from the Shewrapara area of Mirpur around 12:00am.
Muktadir Chowdhury is a former Awami League lawmaker from Brahmanbaria-3. He was in hiding since August 5.
