10 die of dengue in a day

Bangladesh recorded 10 more deaths from dengue in the past 24 hours till Saturday (November 2) morning, marking the highest single-day death toll this year.

With this, death toll from dengue infection reached 310 till November 2.

A press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said this on Saturday.  

Besides, in a 24-hour span, 966 more patients were hospitalised across the country with the viral fever, taking the number of victims to 63,165.

Of the deaths, four were reported from the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), three from Barishal division, and one each from Dhaka, Khulna and Mymensingh divisions.
