Ex-minister Sadhan sent to jail 

A Dhaka court has sent former Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder to jail in a case lodged over the attempt to kill an Imrul Kyes with Mohammadpur Police Station.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Jakir Hossain passed the order on Saturday.

Earlier, Sub Inspector Md Jahangir Alam, also investigation officer of the case, produced Sadhan before the court after the end of his three-day remand in the case and pleaded to keep him behind bars till the end of the probe.
