Bishwa Ijtema to be held in 2 phases from Jan 31

The Bishwa Ijtema, one of the world's largest Muslim gatherings, is once again set to be held in two phases from January 31.
The decision was taken in a meeting at the conference room of the home ministry on Monday noon (November 4).
The first phase will be held from January 31 to February 2 on the banks of the Turag River in Tongi, followed by the second phase from February 7 to 9.
Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury confirmed the matter after the meeting.
Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain, Adviser to the Ministries of Industries and Housing and Public Works Adilur Rahman Khan, Nahid Islam, also the information and broadcasting adviser, Mohammad Abdul Momen, secretary of Public Security Division, and others attended the meeting.
