Shomi Kaiser arrested

Police arrested the president of the E-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (stylised as e-CAB) and actress Shomi Kaiser in Uttara, Dhaka, on Tuesday night (November 5).

Rawnak Jahan, Deputy Commissioner (Uttara Division) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), confirmed the matter.

Police said that Shomi Kaiser was arrested from residence 53, road number 6, sector 4, in Uttara. There were several cases against her.

On October 9, Shomi Kaiser, folk singer and Tarana Halim, and others were sued for attempting to kill a BNP activist.
